La Venenosa Costa has a great balance of smoke and agave, with notes of cedar and pine. It is produced in the Costa de Jalisco and Cabo Corrientes regions, in the village of Lanno Grande and El Tuito. The agave plant used is Rhodacantha, and it is made by Maestro Tabernero Don Alberto Hernandez. The distillation process involves two runs in a Filipino still made from the trunk of a Higuera Blanca tree, and the agave is roasted in an adobe oven using black oak.
